S3 Sand Moulding Demo

On Friday 20th one of Mr. Black’s 3rd year classes was taught how to make their sand moulded bases for the rocking toy. Here is the link to see last year’s rocking toys :

This demonstration took our whole block.  Starting from next Friday, pairs will be beginning to make their own sand moulded bases, starting with myself & Emma.   For the demonstration, Hugh & Rory did all the steps while Mr. Black told them what to do.  During this time Ritchie and I were taking photos for the website.

Craft and Design – Research

Please enable Javascript and Flash to view this Flash video.

Pupils are busy conducting their research for their 4th year Craft and Design projects.  At this stage pupils have searched the internet and other sources for as many images as possible related to their project to gather inspiration and ideas that they can take forward in the design process. The images are then displayed and annotated, highlighting any significant design features. In this class pupils have been researching many different types of tables and cabinets but also rabbit and duck hutches, goldfish tables, chairs, dog beds, fruit bowls and dolls houses.
